Our Story

Hey Little Cupcake! is the brainchild of Sarah Wilson-Gibbons and came from the humble beginnings of her very own kitchen in Manchester.

Inspired by her passion for travel, it wasn't long before Sarah had established a signature collection of cakes, all baked lovingly with the finest ingredients in a variety of exciting flavours and toppings. 

In August 2010, Hey Little Cupcake! opened as a pop-up shop in Spinningfields. As well as bringing daily doses of sweetness to the people of Manchester, the shop also doubled up as a gallery, showcasing and selling the cupcake themed artwork of many talented local creatives. Just six months later in February 2011, Hey Little Cupcake! went on to become a permanent fixture.

We have been lucky enjoy to have pop up shops in Selfridges Birmingham, Kendals Manchester, The Trafford Centre, Manchester United, Manchester Airport, Waterstones, and The Cat Cafe.

Today, the Spinningfields cupcakery is a lively hub of creativity, where our busy, talented team work in harmony, not only supplying freshly baked cupcakes, brownies and layer cakes for the shop and orders, but also for our Selfridges concessions in Manchester's Trafford Centre.

In 2012 we were named 'Best Wedding Cake Designer - North West, in the Wedding Industry Awards.

In 2017 we were finalists at the Be Proud Awards in Manchester, for showing our continual support in the community.
